Asked for Mr... and told her I was he.She did not query this.Told I was being called from Watford-not 0203- and asked about who paid bill and how it was paid as they could offer help on different ways of paying.Questioned her at length about how they could possibly offer any service regarding methods of payment.Gave no info out. Told her to take me off database and that I was on TPS.
No doubt after bank details. -

Firstly an Asian sounding lady asked for my husband by surname to which I replied that he wasn't here and could I help, then she asked for Mrs .... which I also say she wasn't here and then the rude women had the cheek to just hang up on me!

This delightful shower have been bombarding my father (who is nearly 90) with so many calls that I consider it harassment. They even know his surname. His registration with the TPS does not shield him from these bullies nor his and my retorts that we are not interested.

New my name, tried guessing my age which was 20 years out. Wanted to know about energy suppliers and if British gas could contact me about new deals. I said there is nothing British Gas could offer me seeing as they are second of the big 5 energy companies to hike by 9%. Would not take no for answer whilst i continued to say no then she hung up on me

This number (02036 170540)called me tonight, nobody was on the other end, I waited a moment,then the line went dead. It's happened quite a few times over the past couple of months, this is the first time I caught the number. These calls are very annoying.

Similar story, woman said she was from the British Advisory Board - I asked the British Advisory Board of what? She said she had 4 questions and wasn't selling anything. She then asked who provided my Gas and Electricity, I said Tinky Winky and La La, she asked how old I was, I said old enough to know better, but young enough not to care, strangely, she hung up.

Had call this evening from "British Energy Council". Foreign woman knew my name, said her name was Mrs Brown, and she was not selling anything and only wanted 20 seconds of my time. She asked "is it you who pays the energy bills?". I put the phone down at once so she did not get even 20 seconds! She has not rung back! How dare these people ring you when you are registered with TPS precisely to avoid this type of call.

caller knew my Christian name and she said she was from the British advisory service. She started by saying she wasn't selling anything which immediately started alarm bells ringing. She asked if I had gas and central heating so I cut her off.

Persistent woman with American accent - asked for me by name and quoted my address - asked who she was and was told 'Elizabeth' Not selling - 4 questions - told her not interested but she persisted - hung up on her - registered with TPS but they get away with these calls as TPS is only for 'selling' and they come from the 'survey' angle... naughty.

Three calls from this number in 3 hours. First two ignored. answered third - woman with American accent said she was calling on behalf of British Gas. Wanted to ask 2 questions. Not selling anything. When she asked if we were with British Gas, I replied that it was none of her business. She hung up. We are with TPA and still the calls come! I think the whistle is a good idea....

20.30 my wife took call from female who spoke continually, when my got a word in she was told politely that we do not answer surveys and hung up. Line left open for a while then called again, I answered and got same patter so hung up.

A few missed calls from them yesterday where they didn't leave a message. When I answered today they said, "Don't worry, I'm not selling anything" and could I just answer two questions which would only take a couple seconds. My reply was that I'm registered with TPS because I don't want phone calls from people I don't know. He apologised and hung up! Now, that must be a first!
