just answer say nothing at all dont even breathe, they dont answer unless u talk like saying hello! so when i answer say nothing the call is connected and hopefully costing them, but u never have to hear what these tards have to say cause they dont even know ur there, ive done this with all these pricks and i can say it seems to work until they sell ur details to the next company down the cue

Don't answer calls from this number. If you answer you'll only get harassed more and more from this company and others. If you get calls from strange numbers that you don't recognise don't answer. If its an important call they'll leave you a message and you can phone them back.

When you get these calls try to avoid answering them. They call multiple numbers at the same time and wait for the first person to answer hense why most people get hung up on. Pretty sure they record who ever answers and call these numbers back! Anyone trustworthy would leave a message, you'd hope so you can call them back.

I never answer my house phone these days as i am sick of sales calls, PPI calls, non uk callcentre calls and automated calls. I press 1471 after the call and if its someone i know i call them back, In march i paid CPR global almost £40 to stop these calls coming through. I complained to them in May, that i was still receiving them,they said they would investigate, Last week i called to say i was still getting these annoying calls and they have sent me a CPR call blocker free of charge, so far i am delighted with it, It has 15 of the most irritating companies stored inside it, it automatically blocks these numbers, I have only received 1 call so far today, and i have inserted that number, so hopefully it will be blocked if it tries again. I have also included this number.It also has a block now button, so if a call does get through, and i answer it, i have the option to block there and then. I know its only people doing a job, but my time is my time, and if i was interested in their products, i would call them !!!!!!!!!!! as for PPI do they really think after all the TV adverts, if i was owed money i wouldnt go for repayment myself, and not want to pay them to do it for me, silly silly people, can thoroughly recommend purchasing callblocker.Its worth it for the peace of mind.

Several calls over a long period, sometimes a few times each day from this number. It hangs up when I pick up the phone. Location given as Coventry - unassigned number (PC for anonymous). When I call back the phone rings twice and then rings engaged. Noted I can buy an anonymous 02477 number from the internet. Enquired with BT. These numbers are ''cloud numbers'' you provide the number (landline or mobile) you want incoming calls to the 02477 to point at. If you want to make outgoing calls, you can purchase a presentation package in addition from BT. This will display the number when it calls out, which is what is happening to us. BT said the VOIP (voice over interntet providers) companies are an unregulated industry. They can use these numbers from an internet base from anywhere in the world. You cannot do anything about these companies calling you. If the 02477 number has been purchased from a company like BT (they are several providers on the internet), you can report the number to Offcom and ask who is calling. I note from internet research that a website came up giving out details of 02477 numbers called from different places in India. 02477240004 seems to be coming from Maharashtra in the Paranda area of India. Therefore likely VOIP. Other internet research suggests this number is automated redial selling PPI products. I am ex directory. BT advise me that if I have ever purchased an internet product, like insurance, or visited a price comparison site and given out my phone number, my number would most likely have been sold commercially. I think this is an utter disgrace. Only way to prevent it is to change phone number. Put a number witheld on your own phone, so anyone you call cannot see your number displayed as the caller. Never give your home phone number out to anyone except family and friends. Plus never give numbers out on the internet. Difficult as this is usually a compulsory field. Guess we shall all have to start making up false silly phone numbers if we want to buy anything. We don't have a way of identifying the good guys from the bad. Heartilly sick of paying a phone bill for the privellege of being harrassed in my own home.

I get calls from this number every weekday, at least once a day. Recorded message about some made-up claim or other. Intensely annoying as I work from home so am invariably by the phone. I don't know what they feel they are achieving by pissing people off to this degree. Absolute tossers.

I have had several calls from this and other numbers,they always hang up when I answer.This only started after I went online,a few days ago,to get some car insurance quotes.Silly me!I gave out personal information to several firms,now I am getting nuisance calls.So,this number may well be insurance industry related.My advice,never give your telephone number to someone you do not know and trust.
