I was asked how I am today. I said "Fine". I was then asked if I knew anything about the stock market. I asked where they were calling from and what kind of scam company they were. They hung up. Why is legislation that forces these callers to full identify themselves with a company name/address at the outset of the call not introduced. If they are legitimate they'll have nothing to hide.

Caller polite, offering unsolicited advice and introductions about investing and online trading or such stuff. Advised I was busy and not interested but the script kept coming so had to hang up. Can't find a website to verify company.

I was visiting my very ill grandmother in hospital and this number called me, I thought it may be my bank as I was waiting on a call from them so I answered and had to leave the ward in order to answer. They then asked to speak to somebody of a completely different name and when told they had the wrong number they just hung up, no 'oh okay sorry', no 'bye', nothing, they just hang up

Unsolicited call, introduced as BFI. I queried who they were and he said Basic Financial Introductions. He did ask "how are you today?" so was polite. I just referred him to the GDPR regulations on using information without consent, then hung up.
