Just to put anyone's mind at rest. I received a call from "Life team". claimed to review my life ins, i went ahead with the review and they manged to find me a much better deal than i was currently getting through my bank. they are a brokerage who seem to work along side a few different life ins companies just finding you the best deal. Almost halved my monthly premiums, so i was really happy with this service, with in 5 working days i received everything we discussed in the post, in black and white. So this is not a scam, and you should actually listen to what they have to say.

Cold caller asking about wife's life insurance, when we hold a joint policy. Allegedly representing a company called diamond life. Unable to tell me any details when quizzed on policy. Misrepresented his company as a publically founded body and didn't seem to realise FSA replaced by FCA in this area.
On being challenged on this and their reasons for a TPS violation, he became aggressive and claimed calls were screened for such. This was a straight out lie. I terminated the call at this point.

Asked to speak to my wife about her Life Policy......and when I asked where he was calling from he hung up ! My wife was diagnosed with cancer three years ago so life cover is kinda difficult - and these idiots cold call without knowing circumstances and the stress it calls. Number now blocked !!

They said they are the "Life Team" and calling to ask when I last had a review on my life insurance policy. I thought this is interesting as I am a Financial Adviser and arranged my own cover. I asked which policy he was referring to and he said "we review the policies for Legal & General and Aviva". I asked several times for info about the policy I hold and of course he couldn't tell me and it's not one of those two. So it basically Cold Calling to sell you life cover. I would recommend a review to anyone but be careful as some later Critical Illness policies don't offer as good cover.Speak with an Adviser not a salesman.
