It seems this company is now acting on a new name of pre UK using the same telephone number. These arseholes are also calling my work place. How are they still getting away with it after all these complaints???? Surely something permanent must be done to stop them!!!! I really need them to stop calling my work place as my boss is not happy and its a new job. What can I do that will actually work??

Phone goes straight to voicemail for a Mr Wilson whoever he is. Phoned them last night to tell them to stop calling and they said they didn't even have my number but would delete it! Today have had another voicemail from them. It's time these nuisance calls were stopped.

This scum pick-up unrecoverable debt at auction. They don't do proper. indenty checks before they chase anybody with a vaguely similar name or address to the one on the file.
Even if you have owned money in the past they will almost certainly not have the required paper work and even if they did the debt is likely to be time barred and not enforceable. They are not picky about who they will try to extracrt money from and have already been brought to book by the regulator and the Consumer Protection in Kilmarnock are taking an intrest in them.
They have been known to issue what look like enforceable documents but are just meaningless bluff. They are not allowed to doorstep you.
If they call you don't enter into any dialogue with these nasty, log the times.
Loads of info out there on the net about them, best defence is buy a call blocker (for example a "Call Saint" costs about £25) for your landline You can also download a call blocking app for your mobile the "Mr Number" Anderoid App is free.

I was at school and this number phoned me. I got home and looked at my phone seeing if I had any messages and I saw I had a missed call. I was asking my contacts if they know this number and they didn't. I then looked it up on the internet and saw this website. I am very suspicious and I'm not sure what to do?

I,ve had enough of McKensie Hall, pestering me, so I copied and pasted this page, went on their website, on the contact us part, ripped the piss out of them and sent a copy of this page back to them. I told them if they ring me again, they will get abuse on the phone. Because there is nothing they can do about it.At the end of the day, i,m only doing to them what they do to me, getting up their nose, and they dont like it.

I got a phone call on the 24th October 2013 with a recording, thinking it was a sales call I swore down the phone and hung up. Today 28th Oct a missed call same phone number 0161 4524672. I rang this number witholding my number and a man said his name and asked for a reference number. I said there isn't one and I asked what company was ringing. Her said a name I didn't catch. I said my number is ex directory and I hadn't given it out. He wanted my number. I said it's on the phone. So he said phone back. I found out tonight after ringing that number again to hear a recorded message that it was Mckenzie Hall. Having never heard of them I checked online to find out they are debt collectors. My number is new and only two people know it so I guess this must be something to do with the last person to have my number. And I have also had one phone call from Capquest another debt collector. I am so glad my call blocker came today. Curious though to who they are after. They won't be happy when their phone cuts out immediately when they next try ringing.

If you dont want them to ring you, just give them maximum abuse on the phone, remind them there paying for the call, and generally take the piss, in any way possible. Debt collectors are just a pest, they like to Intimidate, try to get as much info as they can, namely phone no,s or email addresses bank account no,s. but tell them they have no right to ask anything. As for any bullshit regarding bailiffs calling, you dont have to let them in, if they call, the only time you would ever have to give in to anyone like that is if they have the police with them, or they have a court letter with them. As for them phoning you, just tell them where to go, and they cant do anything about it If they ring again, I just tell them they,ve reached the abuse line, and call them all names under the sun. -

Having had lots of calls from this number I decided to call back as very annoyed they actually called today at 8.30am which is discusting and thank goodness I was not on a night shift again!!!!!! They wanted a reference number, I said I did not have one and they should not have my number as I was ex directry in a brand new build house!! and only 3 people had my number. They said they were chasing someone called Shelley Kensey????? I was so angry and told them not to call again, they said they would have my number removed from there site. 5 mins later an unknown number called!! coincidence?? probably not

Im ex-directory, and just had this phone line a couple of days. Possible they are phoning for the person that used to have this number, but unlikely. They chase bad debts hoping to intimidate people into paying up before they "take court action against them". Chancers!

This company have been calling me-like others here I have no relationship with their business.
Have now done 2 things:
reported the details of the calls to Trading Standards Agency and also to the Information Commissioners Office.
The Authorities really need to start taking these callers by the scruff and prosecute - fine them immense amounts of money and curtail their harrassing ,nasty practices. -

Yesterday (16/4/2013) I had a call which I now know came from 02084547442. At the time I took the call on a phone without the call logging facility. The caller identified himself as being from Mackenzie Hall, and asked to speak to someone whose name I did not recognise. It was a foreign-sounding name. I told him he had the wrong number. He apologised and said he would amend their records. The call ended.
It is not beyond the bounds of possibility that they have a wrong number on file for the simplest and most innocent of reasons, eg someone copied a number down wrongly. More worrying is the possibilty that someone who is in debt deliberately gave a false number which turned out to be mine.
I will continue to keep an eye on the situation. Time will tell.

We have received 2 calls recently from 01563503847. In both cases there was a brief silence, followed by a recording being played. The recording apparently started part-way through, and the bit that could be made out was a woman's voice requesting that the number above be called back.
The number was not known, so I looked it up on the Internet and found that it was associated with Mackenzie Hall, a debt collection agency.
A few days ago we had a call from 02084547442 while we were out. The call logger recorded the caller's number. Apparently this is another Mackenzie Hall number.
We have no debts. Our credit card bills are paid off in full every month. We are not behind with council tax or utility bills. Our mortgage was paid off more than 34 years ago.
We are registered with the Telephone Preference service, and our number is ex-directory.
This shower have no legitimate reason whatsoever for calling us.
My advice is:- Get a call logger, and if their numbers come up, don't answer. If their calls are considered as harrassment, report them to your telephone service provider.

Received a call with automated message to call them. If they are as suggested above a debt collection company I don't know why they are calling as I have no debt. Am concerned that if a previous tenant had debt it will be registered against my address.

Suddenly started getting calls from this number, sometimes twice a day. They sent me a text message saying from Mackenzie Hall and asking me to text back quoting an account number which they gave me. I've never answered calls or text, never had a debt other than a mortgage (now paid off) and had new mobile number within last 3 months so how have they got my number and why are they bothering me!

Tue 7th May 2013, 9:15am - message was left on my land-line. A woman's voice asks call to be returned on 01563 503 847. I am ex-directory too. Something not quite right about the message prompted me to look it up on the internet and I found this website and feel I need to add my concerns to the list.
