Like all the other comments, this was a recorded message claiming to be from Inland Revenue (I should have smelled a rat immediately at that point - it's HMRC now...) and that I was being sued. Brain not in gear, and in panic, dialled 1, but silence at the other end, then call terminated. I am now so angry. I have now reported this number to the Information Commissioner's Office - go to https://ico.org.uk/concerns/marketing/spam-texts-and-nuisance-calls/ It's a quick and easy form to complete. AND if they get enough reports for specific numbers they take action and where relevant fine them. But it needs all the people who've posted here to do what I did for that to happen.

Threatening message left on answering machine. Garbled but clearly warning of legal action and recommending pressing 1 to speak to a case officer. obviously a scam
kim replied 7/21/16, 9:23 AMHad the same call today, pressed 1 and it went dead, can't believe I fell for it, obviously a scam
