   I have no idea how they obtained my number since I'm NOT listed in the telephone directory.

   Have been called for months by indians trying to sell me stuff, telling me I have a virus, trying to sell me loans. I suspect this is related. Con artists! I think they got my number off either the pet register or the TPS register. Which they probably bought, just to annoy people on it.

   I get this call quite often. I have now had to buy an answering machine. It rings then cuts out. It also doesn't help my nerves as I have had other calls from a legal dispute I have with someone.

   i seem to be entering new numbers on here everyday! So many of these people at the minute and being on TPS does absolutley nothing.
   
   If you get a person rather than an automated voice my tactic is to always act interested at first and ask ask them to tell me all about their service and when they start talking just put the phone down on the side and carry on with what im doing. It really p1sses them off as you get them excited but end up wasting their time. We need some way of winding these buggers up!

    Keep clear of these people. I pressed 9 to take me off the mailing list will wait to see if that actually happens or not!

    keep getting calls from this number- almost every day I come home to find they have called. I have no debt and am on TPS for all the good it does.

    I have no debts either and never had in my life, and TPS is totally and utterly useless. The callers from this number understand only one thing: the threat of being beaten up. Tell them you know their address and will send some of your "friends" round to deal with them. I guarantee they'll never call you again.

    NEVER give them any details.
    I mean NEVER. If they ask your name, tell them it's Johnny. If you offer it, you'll never know the difference between a genuine caller and a scam merchant. NEVER confirm your address, let people who phone you confirm it. Do what I do, take the cordless to the toilet and flush it. Then tell them what a great S--- you just had. Ought to get sick of phoning you.

    Frequent calls from them claiming to be debt collection agency. I have no debts and am fed up with these nuisance calls. If only there were a way to get back at them somehow!!!!

    Called today after listening to a recorded message about how they could help me with debt eventually an operator spoke to me. I asked were they got my number and was told I could contact the TPS not to receive their telemarketing sales calls. I am already TPS registered. Operator became extremely abusive. I have reported them to the ICO. The link is on the TPS website if anyone else want to report them.

    As previous reports, Company stating they can write off debts etc etc etc. Luckily I dont have aby debts so this was obviously coldcalling. I am signed up to TPS. Reported to ICO

    Obviously just started their nasty little recorded calls, with a deep voiced cultivated Oxford English authorative tone telling the good news that I was entitled to having my debts of up to £10K LEGALLY written off by up to 70%. Yippeeee (not). Aforesaid Mr Cultivated tells me to press 5 on my phone and that they'd send me an information pack. I get their number dialling 1471 immediately after and call back to see who they were ... 'busy, please try again' says a nice recorded lady. Grrrrr! Now I'm off to report to the Information Commissioners Office (government run) - there is a stirring of activists out there - so don't forget to report these leeches!
