Should not be calling TPS registered numbers.

No, market research calls are not covered in the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 therefore companies conducting these types of calls are still allowed to call a TPS registered number. If you do not want to receive such calls, inform the caller to remove your details from their call lists. -

Don't call reported unknown with the number +441792828958 as Survey
My number is ex-directory, registered with TPS and registered with market research companies not to receive unsolicited calls. Despite this, this number claiming to be ORS called me late evening and I suspect it was really yet another marketing type caller pretending to do research. Genuine research companies should only call those who have agreed and volunteered in advance.

He rang and invited me to attend a meeting to discuss how best the councils and housing associations are doing their jobs. Told me I would get 25 pound lol. There is nothing on the council or HA websites. Beware. If you agree to attend the caller will then know when the house is empty...hmmmmm strange.

A prime example of blatant abusers of your right to peace in your own home. An abuser will always try to justify their abuse. These guys have even prepared and published a script, which plays on our feelings toward the authorities like the Police, who we are supposed to trust, and these guys attempt to ally themselves with them and some creative writing. Do not communicate with ORS, they will abuse your confirmed data as they have your unconfirmed data. Block and ignore. :)

Although there are only poll here, I feel disturbed and annoyed. The call again and speak nothing on the answering machine. Then, when someone talks to me and is not placed directly if one wants to conduct a survey.

Most of you will have typed our number in to a search engine to find out who is calling from 01792 704800. As mentioned in a previous post, this number belongs to Opinion Research Services (ORS). We conduct surveys on behalf of a range of UK public sector organisations.

Many members of the public are happy to take part in our surveys as it gives them a chance to express their opinions and we provide the opportunity for them to do so. We understand that not everybody will be interested in what we are calling about and do not wish to nuisance to those who do not want to take part.
If you do not want to take part, there are two simple ways in which you can let us know:
1) Tell one of our interviewers that you do not wish to take part in the survey if they call again – they will note this down and you will not receive any more calls.
2) Send an E-mail to [email protected] including your phone number, and let us know that you do not want to be called again – once again you will not receive any more calls.
We also operate a “do not call” register whereby you can opt out of all future ORS research projects, and we will never call you again on any future project. Should you wish to be added to this list, please e-mail us and we will reply promptly with confirmation.

My number is registered with TPS ( telephone preference services). You as a cold caller should check the numbers against the TPD before making such a nuisance calls. Thats why TPS is there in the first place. I am sure you know about it but like most nuisance callers like yourselves are totally disrespectful to TPS and anyone you call.
