was called by Indian sounding male who asked for me by surname(pronouncing it incorrectly)and told me he was calling from the 'Department of Washing Machines' and wanted to know the make of my machine.Didn't get any further as I said I wasn't interested and hung up then blocked number. Am called daily by nuisance callers and forever blocking them but they just call using different numbers.

I keep getting calls from the following numbers: 01244757170 - 01143492427 - 016118147760 - 02031988128. All these calls do not leave messages, I have stopped answering my phone anymore and leave the answerphone to do its job, these companies call 10 + times daily a constant abuse of telephone marketing scams

Wow so many different scams from one same number. Surely BT can block it or trace it. Always an Indian voice even though they claim to be calling from microsoft in california. What are the odds that a call centre in california always uses Indians and not a single Latino?

My 14 year old daughter answered the phone to this number and told the man (sounded asian ) she was only 14 .The man continued trying to talk to her making inuendo's, now they ring and listen to who answers before they speak. I cant ring this number back but one of their staff is a peodofile

Constant calling generally without actual voice call. All times of day and night. Need to be reported to the authorities and/or BT.

Lady knew my last name and claimed to be from a reputable building society - Nationwide. However, she persisted in asking my first name so after she kept pushing, I told her 'Mrs'. She read it out loud but then realised it wasn't what she wanted and so pushed further n asked my full name. I told her just my first - no middle names, then she said 'Thank you Mam' and hung up!

Claims to be a BT technician. Long story short, they say you have viruses on your BT Hub that's causing a security risk and will ask you to install Teamviewer - which will give them remote access to your PC.
Needless to say, it's all a scam. Don't do it. Tell them to go to hell instead. -

Claimed to be from BT and said something wrong with router. Wanted me to go to computer so he could 'show' me the error messages. Told him to write or email me.

Caller said he was from BT and would arrange for an engineer to call round in the next 2 days to install a device that would stop nuisance calls it would last for 15 years. The cost would be a one off charge of £8. Did I want to proceed with getting my line configured. I work in the industry the caller sounded amateurish but could see how other people might be taken in.
