   These people pretend to be calling from Microsoft, telling you they have detected a virus on your computer, and if you don't let them help you and follow their instructions your computer will break down, they generally call you back if they feel you fit their demographic, which is elderly and vulnerable. They want access to your computer, do not tell them anything, report them.

   A lady with an Indian accent called saying she was from Microsoft Technical Support. She went on to inform me that our computer was sending them error messages and that we needed to remove them, and if we didn't it could effect the computer OS and that they would stop our services?! The errors she was in fact directing me to were on the computer management window and errors summary page and really nothing to be concerned about. However she then tried to convince us to let her have access to the computer to remove these 'errors'! At this point we asked for her details and she gave the number 02032905664. This is a hoax and at no point should anyone give any details about themselves or their computer to this caller.

   A male called Clayton called me and said he was from Microsoft and I have a hacking virus on my computer. He told me to log in and he would tell me how to get rid of it. I told him that I thought he would be able to hack into my computer remotely if I did what he said. He got a bit irate so I asked for his name and number and said I would call him back. He gave the above number and name. I wont be calling him back.
