Don't trust them. Refused to tell me why if they wanted to speak to my husband about council tax, they weren't phoning from a local number. Also refused to tell me which local authority they were referring too.

Wanted to save me money on council tax banding, total scam and then when questioned who she is calling on behalf of the lady (who was very polite) hangs up the phone, BE VERY CAREFUL THIS IS FRAUD!!!!

Got a call from this number telling me that I was paying too much council tax and they could have it reduced through re-banding my property. Told them I was paying £75 which included water rates and I would only be interested if they could get it down to £20 a month at which point the guy thanked me for my time and hung up. Although I'm 67 I'm on the ball and well aware of scams.

Insurance call to hound you after a "accident that wasn't your fault". I asked what information "Thomas" wanted from me and he hung up! I am so sick of these companies hounding me and trying to get me to claim for no reason.

This number is a SCAM. Usually call pretending to be a company specialising in reducing your council tax band . They sound convincing. They signpost you to a website. From there on everything else is fake. The website has a companies house business number which doesn't relate to the company the pretend to be. If you give them card details for a deposit for services they will then take multiple further payments without authority, with payments being taken by overseas companies. Literal FRAUD. They will send documents in the post that effectively want you to sign over authority for all dealings on you property. Very risky stuff. Much later you will get follow up calls pretending to be other companies, pretending they have held insurance policies for you before and can offer new discounts. But the con here is they know you have changed you card details following the previous fraud having cancelled your card, and they use the remaining details they already know about you to try to convince you they are legit and to try to get you to give your new card details! These are organised criminals! Stay well away!
