Claimed to be from Sky insurance, stating my TV cover was out of date and would be canceled. I pretended to check my documents and mentioned they had just taken the payment. At that point, she abruptly hung up. It was clearly a scam, as I could hear a noisy call center in the background with voices speaking in Indian accents.

They called asking me to insure my Sky equipment, but since Sky owns everything, it was clearly a scam. The offer made no sense, and it was obvious they were trying to get personal details under false pretenses. These types of scams are becoming more frequent, but recognizing the inconsistencies makes them easier to spot.
