   Hi folks !!
   Dont worry this is Ebay trying to send you all a message code as their system was recently hacked back in May this year 2014.
   I have just gone to use my Ebay account for the first time in 5 months and it said i need to change my password.
   This is the number rang my home number immiediately afterwards so i tried doing it again and voila !!! My phone rang again.
   If you change your Ebay password dont use the home phone option use your email or txt it to me option.
   Hope this puts all your minds at rest.

   This number is displayed when someone (anyone) sends a text to your landline. My daughter accidentally sent me a text from Skype to my landline and this was what happened. In some cases the original message may well be a nuisance call, but I think this number itself is blameless as it is just turning a text into a voice message.

   02087599577 rang me Sunday morning 9.35. I blocked the number with my call blocker than rang that number with holding mine to see who it was but it didn't ring, not a sound. A genuine caller would not ring like this.

   Definitely not eBay in my case as they do not have my home phone number. Had a recorded message today from this number thanking me for my payment and saying my details will be updated soon. Quite worrying actually.

    3 times on the trot tonight from 8:30pm onwards! Such a pain, no message left and when you dial 1471 to find out who it is, it's someone in London! Stop wasting your time I don't answer my phone to sales people or people trying to sell PPI!! Get a life!

    We have to be ready to answer our phone whenever it rings in case it is our elderly mother needing us, so we can't turn the volume off. Even if we let this number go through to the answerphone, it has still disturbed us at all hours simply by ringing out.

    Had calls from this number before but his time they left automated message on answerphone quoting a pin number therefore making the call seem very official. Very disturbing!!! I can not understand why and what the benefits to the caller/company are?

    also got phoned at 8.10 am sunday morning from this number replied back no one there my mother has alzhimers didnt no if it was an emergency or not some one shold shut these muppets from calling.

    The following number: 0208 759 95 77 keeps phoning and when I pick it up, a machine keeps beeping and I cannot hang up.
    
    It is a stupid caller who harrass people and blocks the phone line.

    Had call from this number 20 minutes ago but, luckily, out in garden. Rang 1471 to get number then searched Internet and got to this site. Also had call this morning saying "if you are expecting a call from e-bay please press 1" - so I hung up. Bit worried with Crytolocker virus etc about - anyone have any answers?

    As I said on another post, I think this is someone (anyone) sending texts to your landline. The Ebay user will have given their landline number to Ebay, so when Ebay wants to send a text, they'll text the landline - so give ebay your mobile number, or tell Ebay not to send texts. In every case, recipients need to find out who sent the text. 02087599577 is just a computer so there is no point ringing it back.

    Maybe, but the transmission number must legally allow the recipient to opt-out and so should give the user options when they call it back rather than it being 'dead'
