   Caller with foreign accent said he was from PPI and that I had taken a loan out 8 years ago with insurance. When I said I hadn't he asked if I was xxx (he knew my name). I said yes and he repeated that I'd had a loan. I hadn't so knew it was a scam. I put the phone down.

   They are offering £3,000 for PPI refunds. The man with a foreign accent told me he was from PPI Department and to remember a loan I took out and had PPI and could get £3k. I said oh that's lovely. I decided not to offer the information that I had not had such a thing but tried to establish the company calling and where they had the information from. I asked PPI Dept of which company - a garbled response that I could not understand. I asked where they had got the info from - I was told "UK", so asked which company. He asked me to confirm again had I had a loan. I said I was not giving him any financial information and that the company he had got it from, whether correct or incorrect, should not be giving such infomation and should not be giving him my details both because of TPS and Data Protection. He told me to "f*** off" and put the phone down.
