I'm a 73 year old man and received a call from the lovely 'Lisa Williams' and was told in a robotic voice I've got a lawsuit against me. Luckily, my tech-savvy daughter listened to the call and assured me it was a hoax straight away. I was worried all day over this, these people need to be stopped.

As per the people who have already reported, a woman claiming to be from HMRC saying a law suit has been filed against me. I have received it twice on my answer machine this morning the first time it did not display a number and just said 'External' on my caller display. These people are crooks no doubt about it.

Claimed to be from HMRC, used a text to voice program telling me that a "serious lawsuit" has been filed against me and signed off with'have a blessed day' - not the sort of thing HMRC would say. The number was 0121, HMRC is an 0800 number. plus they wouldn't phone, they would write. This is a scam

A message was left on the landline today claiming to be from the hmrc and said that I have a very serious lawsuit against my name, telling me to immediately call back the number quoted which was basically this phone number minus the first 0. End of message said "have a blessed day". Pretty sure that's not a hmrc farewell! Have listed number as scam in phone.
