Keep getting voice mails left via automated message at least every other day now and its extremely frustrating!, I think I blocked to number not long ago so my phone doesn't ring but I still get a voicemail. How do I get this to stop?

Finally answered after receiving calls multiple times a day for weeks.
The guy who answered was polite enough but really pushy, I said no thank you a few times and asked to remove my details from the system and his response was "so even if I can get you the best deals you won't be interested" I responded with "I said what I said" and he hung up.
I'm hoping I don't have to go through the process of "do not call" but will see what happens. -

This is a large energy company called Utilita. Their method of operation is to constantly robo call thousands of random phone numbers in order to attempt to persuade energy consumers to agree to switch from their current provider to Utilita. They are constantly teetering on the brink of going bust, which is why they have to resort to this type of marketing tactic. They would have gone bust by now but are being kept going by the energy regulator which has for some time beein subsidising the energy providers to prevent them from failing, as so many providers have already done in the last several years. The energy regulator is a disgrace. It says its mission is to protect consumers but in fact its true purpose is to ensure the providers are able to stay in business. The government is also a disgrace for allowing the regulator to get away with this and for not protecting the UK's domestic energy consumers.

Calling me 20 times a day at least, sometimes up to bloody 50. I answered and they went straight into a sales pitch about smart meters. I said I live with my parents and I dont pay bills to which their response was "well give me your parents number then"...... I dont think so, what so you can harass them as well. Will be reporting this company to watchdog and will slate them across every single social media platform possible. Aggressiveness gets you nowhere in life.

I got an unsolicited call (I don't pay energy bills) , my mobile phone caller id thing said it was utilita but was a different number: 01246488759 but could not find any information about the new number they are using. Hopefully somebody sees this and connects the caller with the new number and saves some time having to deal with these people. Probably on zero hour contracts and no job security. That's what the tories have done for this country and we can look forward to another 5 years.

I have already expressed that I live in inclusive accomodation and do not pay energy bills. I work in a legitimate call centre and what Utilita is doing is breaking every single GDPR law there is out there. Threaten them with breaking GDPR and they should leave you alone. I called the chesterfield office over 60 times they do not have any one answering the phone, very annoying and very unprofessional. I was under the impression this was a large national company but they are extremely unprofessional and I would advise anyone not to use them as your energy provider

More Numbers From UTILITA. 0114 349 3951/3952 you block 1 number and they call on another. I used to get 3 or 4 times a week. I used to have them supply me and yet still got the cold calls. They are rude and aggressive with marketing and the main reason I left as a supplier. Now I'm called 3-4 times a day and have now started door canvassing

Their a marketing company for utilita, they offer free smart meters with no standing charge and they're basically trying to get more customers and grow. Some of the other comment look like bad employees the person I spoke to was really lovely.
If you phone and not interested don't hang up straight away or they'll phone you back, it's just to do with the dialer just say you're not the bill payer or something or listen to what they say for 30 seconds and say not interested that way you won't be called back.
It's a good company though my mums been with them for 3 years not a problem with them. -

I have my gas and electric with this company so maybe just research.Ive had a few missed calls from them.
Chris replied 5/17/16, 8:28 PMI use Utilita as well for my gas and electric as well and I think they are brilliant! I have used both SSE and Scottish Power and I only have to put credit on both once a week whereas with the others I was having to top up at least twice a week! -

JCmufc replied 4/19/16, 11:33 AMThis is exactly what started happening to me yesterday. I blocked their number yesterday morning, and since then I've had 59 attempted calls from them, in blocks of 8 or 9 attempts. Pretty ruthless methinks. -

Called me with the totally wrong name. Didn't actually ask my name then launched into some cra* sales speech about pre Payments meters. These guys dont supply my utilities so I hung up. V dodgy & I feel sorry for those that get roped in. They aren't transparent about who they are at all. Avoid. I've now blocked

I blocked this number on my mobile yesterday as I didn't recognise number but still more attempts to contact me. Had blocked number but they phoned 6 times and it kept coming up as a missed call. Whoever they are they have rung 38 times today, sometimes 3 times in a minute. Nuisances.

This is a company called Utilita. When they call you on this number it's most likely for marketing reasons, which is annoying when they call twice a day. Especially when you answer the call and no one speaks and the line cuts off after about 10 seconds.
If you call the number back and listen to the automated message, it will tell you to press 1 on your keypad, then enter your number, press the # key, then press 1 to confirm deletion.
I don't think these are scammers. I'm due to have a smart meter for my gas/electric installed at the end of the month with British gas, they are a real thing that have been happening for a short while now. I am guessing these utilita are just trying to get people to purchase the meters from them, but British gas do it for free so contact your current power provider before you do anything else
Followed the helpful post from Reco Butty (as above) and my landline number will be deleted from their marketing calls within 48 hours. We will see!!!
