Someone claiming to be called "Nancy" calling up to discuss our FirstData merchant account but given that she called us and not the other way around she refused to speak to me without answering "security questions" but refused to answer my security questions asked of her to prove she was who she was and calling from the company in question. Claimed it was to do with duplicate transactions but without in-bound callers validating their legitimacy by answering my security questions I won't discuss such matters by phone.

This is First Data in basildon that continuolsly phone our company despite several discussions advising them of their nusiance calling because they are supposed to be dialing an internal number but are unable to train their staff not to dial an outside line! most dissapointing is that fact that often before we have a chance to let them know they are already quoting us card and account name details. not what you would expect from a data protection compant

I say trustworthy - but only because they weren't obviously trying to do anything malicious.
They were ringing to confirm if our company were still interested in a new Credit Card Terminal. (Which was previously inquired about)
Supposedly, calling this number back will lead to a series of automated options, an 0330 number is provided to skip this. (0330 123 1241 - Not registered on Tellows)
In summary, it was a courtesy call regarding something that was previously inquired about, you should only really stay on the line if you have inquired about something Credit Card related sometime in the past few months.
