   They claim to be from Vodafone but I have just completed a 4 day marathon of calls and emails to Vodafone, they picked up the tab, and they have assured me that it is NOT Vodafone. I have contacted the telephone ombudsman and Rotherham police about this number, I'll keep you posted!

   this number has just called me whilst I was on my laptop so I thought let me google this number just incase and as I have had similar calls in the past ..thought abit suspicious, as the call went on it got more ridiculas with the lady telling me that I could get everything unlimited for 16 pounds a month...that's when I hung up...a lady called Karen text me straight afterwards to say she appreciates my concern but can assure she is not a scam and that she could tell me the last number had dialed ect but what puzzled me was the fact that the message came through sent from Vodafone..i think its something to do with the freedom freebie fake sights and they are collecting data this way

   Junk call received from James said Motor Insurance Bureau passed my details to their company and was ringing to discuss accident. When I asked him to repeat his name he then hung up.

   Rings me 4/5 times a day. Only answered today and the lady asked for the account holder. I said to her that I knew it was a scam and she hung up. Now I only get a call 1/2 times a day. very sad.

   I'd seen the comments on this site so when I answered I challenged her. She asked how much I topped up and I said well if you were vodafone you'd know that. She blustered on and I just put the phone down and she withered on for absolutely ages, and rang back immediately. Still phoning twice a day though :(

   They asked for details to confirm who I was although they called me! Whilst talking and only confirming what they already knew, I searched and found it was a dodgy number so just hung up. and then blocked the buggers.

    They claim to be vodafone, they called me many times, the first time I answered they didnt have my name, they asked for the "account holder" I didn't give them ANY information and then told them not to call me again. 3 days later they called again, this time they knew my surname. It was a girl called 'Charlotte' who wouldnt give me her surname and when I asked for her manager, she said nervously that she didnt have one. I called Vodafone and they confirmed that it is a fraud that they are aware of, I will report it to the police

    This number have been calling me twice a day, one in the morning another in late afternoon, for the last four days. I have not answered it yet but I am sure it is a sale call.

    been called loads by this misterious number telling me that I don't top up much and they then ask me how much I top much every month so I hung up or ignored the call. don't maser any details!! when vodafone ring me my phone automatically knows it's vodafone and labels it as that but this isn't safe..

    Had two calls now from someone or Company called Rotherham.First time I rejected the call.The 2nd time THEY hung up without saying a word.

    When I said I wouldn't give her any personal information without making sure she actually was from Vodafone, she offered to send me a text message to confirm (which Vodafone has never done). The text message came from 08700700191, which is not where my Vodafone texts normally from.

    I also just had a call from this number claiming to be Vodafone. Line was so bad she hung up. Have added to my blocked numbers in case she calls again later.

    Called 27.02.14 at 7.30pm telling me that he was from Vodafone and he could offer me some really good offer. .. He was pushy, calling me love! And asking lots of personal questions. Told him that I would not do any deals on phone and refused to answer questions... He then wished me a good afternoon at 0730pm! Don't trust

    I had a phone call (from Vodafone) to my contract mobile yesterday (06-01-14) mid day. He said about 4g is now available on my phone for a fee of £5.00 and that he noted on my account. I know 4G isn't available in my home town yet either! I did say I will speak to my local store. The way he was speaking to me it wasn't professional at all as he was saying "my love" and when I amswered he was talking to someone else. Normally when you speak to someone in a call centre you can actually hear the people on the background.

    I've been on a Vodafone pay as you go sim for a couple of weeks and am now drowning in sales calls which I can't tell whether are not are genuine! Either way, it's driving me bonkers.

    Ive had calls from this number claiming to be vodafone but the persone on the gentleman on the other end of the phone gave me suspicions. Reported to vodafone and they have no record of this number and are investigating ASAP.

    I can assure everyone it is Vodafone, it's a Rotherham code number '01709', that is where the company Webhelp is based. Webhelp have a various of campaigns there, Vodafone being one of the best. I know this myself because I work there.. we only ask questions to do with your current account because we need you to confirm it, meaning we already now it. Still don't believe me?.. Look the number up on the Vodafone website instead of some lame little blog.
