"Jack Wood" gave this as his number. He called me today to gain remote access to my pc. Before fobbing him off I asked for the address of his company - a Google search of which brought up a replacement double glazing company in Surrey!

I'm averaging two cals a day from these callers with heavy indian accents variously called Mike Smith, Kevin and Dave they say they are from Surrey and want me to get on my computer because it has been infected with malicious software, and my virus protectin has been compromised. I asked for their number and got this 01905 number. Avoid like the plague.

FAke! Try to get you to check out your computer, they have just moved numbers. They get you to a remote connection to you system, then charge you £157 for deleting temp files and clearing your eventviewer log.

Have been receiving daily calls from these people - previously they have asked to speak to my mother and simply hung up when told she was out. Today, after more persistent questioning, the caller (who had a heavy Indian accent) said his name was David, calling from Windows Service Centre in Surrey, and that my parents' computer has been downloading malicious software. He gave this number for us to call back on and one quick Google shows that this is an established scam. They gain remote access to your computer and not only attempt to charge you for installing damaging viruses on your PC, but also gain access to your personal information and bank details this way.
DO NOT DO AS THEY ASK!! This is more than just dodgy...
