I had these stickers on my door a few weeks ago and removed them. Now they’ve come back again and struck a similar looking sticker with the number 07932961616 which is the number of Cricklewood Locksmiths who are known for this kind of advertising and there have been news reports about them in the past.

These crooks have been out slapping their phoney 24/7 locksmith stickers on intercoms and door frames in my neighbourhood. Even after peeling the stickers off, there is a sticky glue residue left behind. I tried calling the mobile number on the sticker and a half-asleep foreign sounding voice just answered with a "hello". No company name. Avoid at all costs. There are loads of reputable locksmiths out there so don't use these cowboys. Hopefully London Trading Standards and the Metropolitan Police sort out these toe-rags.

This number (07379 253353) is printer on stickers that have been stuck on people’s front doors without consent. When you attempt to peel the sticker off, it damages the paintwork. The police suggest you never called the number on a sticker if you need a locksmith as often they are scammers. Apparently the stickers are also used by criminals to identify premises that are vulnerable and could be burgled by accomplices later (Google to find news articles on the subject). I have a feeling the company behind these stickers could possible be Cricklewood Locksmiths as they are well know for these stickers and Brent Council has banned them from stickering.
