   Use your number with no further information. First they add your number to the NHS app as a close contact when reporting Covid+. If you have the app you'll get a direct ping saying you've been in contact and to follow current guidelines. This is a legitimate ping.
   
   The bandits then text to get you to order an NHS test for close contact with Omicron. Includes link to hacker site - very good imitation of NHS site. They get your card details as you 'pay' 99p or some other figure.
   
   If you order a test, they harvest your email and login to NHS. Using the information, they then make some faux payments £££ using your card, which won't go through as suspicious. Likely to John Lewis or other companies.
   
   After this, they then call you. Explaining that you have suspicious activity on your account. When you check you'll find that this is the case if you have up to date banking. Obviously, no money is taken here, just the threat!
   
   They say they'll cancel all from their end (they already are cancelled) and order you a new card. They then say that they can add the new card to your Apple or Google Pay so that you aren't caught short without a card. They then ask you to confirm this on your phone and tell you that the card will be in the post to you.
   
   If you add this to your phone, you're actually adding your legitimate card to their phone so they can go on a spending spree!
