   Said they were BT. Lots of background noise so I challenged with "sounds very noisy for BT". Said that I used to be a BT customer and they wanted to offer me deals to welcome me back. I asked when their records indicated I was a BT customer (they didn't know). They asked about my package. I told them Virgin TV/phone/internet and they kept upping my speed of internet. They said "You're on fibre optic then?" I confirmed I was happy with Virgin so the call ended.

   I didn't just receive "a" call (as in one) from this number, but several. It's some sort of telemarketing hotline of British Telecom. If you aren't already a customer of theirs, they try to persuade you into changing your provider. I think I was polite enough when I told them I wasn't interested and would like it if they'd refrain from calling me again, but apparently there is no way to get these people to stop.

   Had a call from a guy called nathan on this number, said he worked for webhelp uk, and they were partners of BT. Gave me a load of info which sounded good, I said could he send it to me in writing/email he said he couldn't and would only take phone orders, so I told him to phone back in 24 hours. I've just been onto BT chat and gave them the number and asked if he was ligate, they said not! So I'll see what he says tmw!!

   My wife got a call from this number and the bloke on other end said to her u r gonna get killed and hung up. Rang police but they can't do anything about it ?

   BT using this line for pressure sales. I am registered with OFTEL to stop such calls. Seems BT think they are to big to be fined.
   
   I will now chase them until they are fined. BT are a terrible company and are phoning my line from this number.

   This number has been calling my home over and over and I am fed up. When I answered, a woman on the other end asked if this was a business number.When I said no she just said sorry and hung up. Don't know what they are about.

   I have had calls from this number for the past two days. They ask for a Mr Williams, I say wrong number, but today I said stop calling he became cheeky and hung up...

   Rang me on Monday 16th June but hung up! Rang me again today 18th. Loads of strange background noises. Caller said it was BT ringing and would like to get my information updated so that they could welcome me back. When I argued his number wasn't from BT he said that he was ringing from Yorkshire. I asked again are you from BT and he hung up.

    I am sick to death of being rung by this number countless times a day and even when i do answer to absolutely give them a rocketing i get no one on the other end of the phone. Needs to be made illegal!
